Wedding Wear

If you are looking for a wrap, shawl or capelet to keep the chill off on your special day, look no further. Whether it’s a winter wedding you’re planning, or an outdoor summer do, these accessories are suitable for all seasons.

Many other wraps are too heavy to wear indoors or in the summer but these ones are flowy and light, with the warming qualities of natural fibres such as mohair, cashmere, silk or alpaca wool.

I carefully hand make each shawl out of the most luxurious yarns.  For brides the usual choice will be white or ivory to go with your bridal gown.  But your bridesmaids will also need to be kept snuggly warm at your winter wedding or at your outdoor summer celebration (- after all, you have always got to plan for that great british summer doing what it does best!). The bridesmaids’ capelets can be made to harmonise with the colour of their dresses.

Grooms! – a lace wrap makes a thoughtful gift for your bride on the morning of her wedding.  She’ll love it!

Stay warm with a super soft feathery lace wrap

The capelet you see on the pictures is made from my favourite luxury yarn, a blend of silk and kid mohair. It is delicate and super light, and feels like a cloud to wear!  It gives a beautiful drape, and while it’s lacy, the fluffy fibres fill the gaps in the airiest, most beautiful way, so the fabric feels gorgeously soft on the skin. I thoroughly recommend this choice of yarn, but if you have special wishes for the type of yarn you would like used, please just ask.

Customisation options area available – the wrap can be capelet style (open with a few cute little buttons holding it together).  This style can be worn with the opening at the front, or the back, or off centre at the front.  Alternatively it can be poncho style, closed all the way around. If you go for this over-the-head style, don’t fret about your wedding day up-do – the neck hole is wide enough to slip over without ruining your stylist’s handywork.

Ready to ship shawls are available in my shop, or contact me to discuss a custom order.

If you are in the Portsmouth area, you are very welcome to arrange to come and try one on.
